Abstract

This is a reading of the critical thought of Muhammad Farid Abu Hadid, based on a group of studies he wrote and left in manuscript, namely:
1- An extensive study entitled: (Glimpses of Asrar Al-Bayan), which was started on March 12, 1957, and has ninety-nine pages. Which the author did not have enough time to complete the topic, and the study in its entirety combines theoretical procedure, applied procedure, and deals with issues of poetry and prose, and issues of language and literature.
2- A study of three sections, the first section entitled (Introduction), the second entitled: (Abu al-Tayyib searches for his subject), and the third entitled (A chapter on Abu Nawas’s poetry), and it is clear that the total of the sections was a project for a book - also - because the author is at the end of the chapter. The third, related to Abu Nawas, mentioned that he had finished off Abu Nawas’s poetry in profanity and flirtation, and he would start praising, which was not achieved.
3- A two-part study published in the Arabic Language Academy, entitled: (On Subject and Style in Literature).
