The development of the methods and practices of warfare resulted in the dispensing of traditional weapons and tools used in direct and indirect confrontations between the conflicting parties, the use of new actors, and methods to destroy states from within by destabilizing their economic and social security.
The radical changes in the concepts, methods, and practices of war prompted all states to reconsider ways to protect their national security, in order to adapt to these changes. The war is no longer confined to direct and indirect military confrontations, but has extended to include the economic, social, cultural, informational and technological fields, and the resolution of the conflict is no longer limited to those who possess military power.
The economic field is one of the most dangerous fields of war. Where economic crises and problems in the target country are exploited to spread rumors of the absence of economic security and social justice with the support of disinformation mechanisms. With the aim of provoking internal disturbances and tensions, and spreading violence without the target country being aware of the existence of an attack in the first place; Due to the complexity of the economic field, despite its danger to national security.
Therefore, economic development has become an inevitable necessity to face the challenges of modern generations of wars, especially with the growing external influences on the national economy, which resulted in the complexity of internal economic and social problems. As these challenges and problems are a fertile environment for provoking crises.
