Abstract

Al-Smarqandii is aphysician lived in the sixth and seventh centheries AH- the twelfth and thirteenth centheries AD. He was one of the most brilliant doctors of his time. He has authored anumber of medical studies. Show a degree of progression and independence oh thicnking. Adopt an experimental approach to the practice of medicine. Among his most important books are " Al-Asbaab Wa Al-Alaamat" which discuss with explanation, and the book ' Aghziat Almarda Wa Al-Asehaa". He quoted from the books of medical scholars who preceded him such as Ibn sina, Al-Razi and Al-Majusi, He had unplecedented medical ideas that contributed to the development of medical science. He mentioned the use of enemas to prevent constipation and said; If the fall or blow occured on the head it should soften the nature and benefit after bloodletting with asoft injection and fruit water.He is the first to mention the word of Aspirin in his book "Al-Aqrabazin AlaTarteeb Al-Asbaab". Aspirin eyeliner has been invented as an eye medication to prevent pimples.870 prescriptions were mentioned in this book. In his book " Al-Asbaab Wa Al-Alaamat" he mentioned about four hundred diseass, it describes the disease, menthions its signs,and concludes by mentioning its varios treatments from plants and others,At the end of book he mentions many types oh toxins that people are exposed to and how to treat them.
