This paper discusses some of the ethics of science and the ethics of the scholar and the learner or researcher - in general – from the point of view of 2 different thinkers: one of them represents the traditional Islamic culture represented in one of its prominent figures, Al-Mawardi, to see how he looked with his insight into the ethics of science, whether the scientist or the seeker of knowledge.

In order to complete the picture, we have seen that the second example should be a modern Western writer, who is interested in writing on the field of the ethics of science, and he has various articles and contributions in it, including a recent book that has been discussed herein.

Finally, the paper compares the two points of view they show to clarify if there is any similarity between them
