Abstract

By examining the remarks made by Al Ahly and Zamalek supporters on various issues that appeal to them, the goal of this study is to shed light on the connection between exposure to social media sports material and the growth of the hooliganism phenomenon.
The findings of this study showed that most comments are passionately supportive of the team to which they are loyal or critical of the opposition, and that there is no moderation in addition to the lack of a culture of difference or other viewpoints. Instead, the majority of comments reached the point of using expressions that encourage greater sports fanaticism, putting us in front of a real issue and a field of study that merits more investigation.
