Types of Youth’s Preferences and Exposure to the Series in the Digital Platforms and their relation to their perceptions about the Extent of Relation between Their Topics and Characters in one hand and The Egyptian life priorities on the other
The aim of the study is to find out the patterns of young people's exposure to drama series presented on digital television viewing platforms and how these drama series relate to the young people's perceptions of how their topics and issues relate to social reality and priorities.
The study was based on the use of the survey form as a data gathering tool within the survey methodology, and includes questions that express the objectives of the study and work on investigating its hypothesis by applying them to the sample of young people. It reached a number of findings including that the majority of the sample of young people watch series through digital platforms with a proportion of 89.77%, confirming the importance of viewing platforms in building young people's perceptions on societal priorities and adoption of personality models. The study also indicated that (Netflix) is the most favorable viewing platform with a proportion of 48.6% of total sample size, and that watching the documentary content was completely limited.
