A Critical Review of "Words of My Lord and His Signs in the Quran and the Universe.

Abstract

This research conducts a critical scientific review of the dictionary "Words of My Lord and His Signs" by Dr. Ahmed Fouad Pasha, published by the Center for Editing Arabic Heritage at Misr University for Science and Technology in 2023. The research aims to achieve the following:
• Introduction: Acknowledging that the service of Quranic lexicography has never ceased, the research focuses on the material of the dictionary, its epistemological affiliation, its scientific and civilizational value, and an examination of the dictionary's methodology and its expected functions in the civilizational advancement of the nation. The research also identifies some critical observations. • Findings: The research revealed the continuous development of Quranic lexicography in the history of lexicographic research in the nation. It also showed an awareness of the applications of user-oriented perspective, as manifested in the use of the alphabetical order system. It is also manifested in paying attention to the encyclopedic aspect in the construction of the texts of this specialized encyclopedic dictionary.
