Abstract

The novelist Rida Sulaiman poses a technical question indirectly, making the reader play an interactive role in creatively interpreting the text, its events, psychological components, and the cultural and mental composition of the main and secondary characters.
The question is:
Do desire and crime have a cognitive role?
Rida Sulaiman answers the question artistically in a narrative text where the narrative language components and parallel dramatic structures play an active role in creating two stories within one narrative text that share the same timeframe, representing the moment of committing the two crimes.

The two stories in "The Crime at Seven O'clock" are two sides of the same coin, as the theme of the crime in each of them plays a fundamental role in a dramatic framework rich with vivid imagery.

Thus, the narrative text "The Crime at Seven O'clock" is a masterpiece of narrative creativity, an essential milestone that we consider a punctuation mark, resuming human narration with a frank aesthetic beauty, appreciating the principles and rules of narrative art while considering the requirements of uniqueness and astonishing deviation.
