Diminution is one of the morphological phenomena that Arab linguists have focused on, and this interest has been prominent in grammar, morphology books, and dictionaries, especially in the Lisan al-Arab dictionary. One of the reasons for choosing diminutives in lexicography is that the lexicographer may be keen to address diminutive issues through various entries, and the researcher can compile them all in an independent study of diminutives from the dictionary "Lisan al-Arab." The choice fell on lexicography as represented in the "Lisan al-Arab" dictionary because it is considered a linguistic treasury rich in diminutives in general, and exceptional diminutives in particular. The research plan revolved around two axes: the first axis: the lexicon, the second axis: analysis. The dictionary was organized around two titles; the first one: Features of the Dictionary of Diminutive Words (i.e., the characteristics and the proposed methodology for that dictionary), and the second title: Applications of the Proposed Dictionary of Diminutive Words (i.e., the application by presenting examples of that dictionary, in which the researcher applied the methodology he deemed appropriate). The applications distribute the diminutives into three matters as follows. In the form of a glossary of diminutive terms. In the form of a lexicon of structures specific to diminutives. In the form of a lexicon of semantic fields specific to diminutives
