Communicative Action on Facebook is characterized by being linear and collective. Within the framework of verbal interaction in Facebook, new communication models have emerged as a reaction to the development of social networks in the virtual world, such as Facebook, which is demonstrated by the analysis of student Facebook pages in Germany (Facebook pages of Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich (LMU), Studentenleben and Studienscheiss) and Egypt (Cairo University's facebook page). The analysis of the conversation chains in the student Facebook pages mentioned explains that they can be classified into three communication models: simple linear communication model (a sender sends to unknown recipients, but receives no response),, branched linear communication model (a sender sends to unknown recipients and receives several isolated replies on the same main topic) and complex branched linear communication model (a sender sends to an unknown recipients and receives several isolated responses. Some of these are given on the same main theme, while others introduce a different theme). Finally, it can be stated that the need of the students as a social peer group for mutual interaction creates the necessary driving force to develop new communication media and thus new communication models.
